This holistic approach to conscious dining earned the property two of Spain's most prestigious sustainability-focused culinary distinctions in 2025: the Michelin Green Star and a Repsol Sun.

Mas Salagros is powered entirely by renewable energy sources, including electricity generated by its own rooftop solar panels. The property also utilizes a biomass boiler fueled by organic materials such as wood chips and sustainably sourced firewood to provide heating and hot water. Together, these systems form a key part of the hotel's broader decarbonization strategy, reducing reliance on fossil fuels while advancing its commitment to environmental stewardship and low-impact hospitality.

Mas Salagros’s Garden Suites get their name, in part, from their rooftop gardens. Covered with native plants, these green rooftops function as thermal insulators to regulate temperature. The design also reflects the property’s commitment to bioclimatic architecture, where the buildings blend into the landscape. Some superior rooms also offer private gardens with hammocks, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the surrounding nature.

In Mas Salagros’s little-makers workshop, young children are encouraged to think outside the box. Here, found objects form the basis of imaginative play; kids can make fairies out of leaves, paint stones, and collage with natural materials. This screen-free space gently teaches respect for the environment and crafty creativity.
