Strength Through Partnership

Travel Forward is a nonprofit that works with destinations, businesses, governments and NGOs to ensure that travel mitigates the effects of climate change and delivers positive outcomes for destinations and communities. 

Beyond Green is the lead accommodations partner on Travel Forward’s “Where Next?” global action campaign, an industry-wide initiative that seeks to effectively and fairly change how tourism is planned and managed with the goal of accelerating climate adaptation and resilience.  Building on this foundation, Nina Boys, VP, Sustainability & Beyond Green, serves on the “Where Next?” advisory board, lending her leadership and voice to the campaign. Beyond Green is also exploring a pilot project between its member properties and the “Where Next?” campaign, further revealing how climate solutions can be scaled through hospitality via real-world member case studies.

Travel Forward is a co-author of the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism, a global plan committed to halving emissions over the next decade and reaching net zero emissions as soon as possible before 2050. In September 2022, Beyond Green’s parent company, Preferred Travel Group (PTG), signed the declaration and pledged its full commitment to this journey. In addition, PTG partners with Travel Forward on company-wide climate action planning and implementation.

Founded by Price Harry, Duke of Sussex, Travalyst works to positively impact the industry by providing data that empowers consumers, businesses, and governments to make informed travel choices. Beyond Green's inspection process has been independently reviewed and is compliant with the Travalyst criteria. In January 2026, Beyond Green joined the Travalyst Coalition as an accommodation industry partner, bringing the collective perspectives, leadership, and real‑world impact of our member hotels to help ensure that emerging solutions reflect the realities of independent hotels around the world. 

A global network of nearly 12,000 businesses and environmental organizations, 1% for the Planet was founded with the idea that every company has a responsibility to support people and the planet. As a proud member organization, Beyond Green is committed to donating at least 1% of annual sales to organizations verified by 1% for the Planet, with past donation recipients that include: Trees, Water, and People; Oceana; and the Surfrider Foundation. Additionally, leveraging 1% for the Planet’s international network connects Beyond Green with thousands of businesses and environmental organizations that share our vision for a more conscientious travel industry.
