Wine Academy & Tastings, Cooking Classes

In the quiet, rolling hills of Piedmont, home to Barolo and Barbaresco wine and the famed Alba white truffle, Casa di Langa is more than a rural resort; it’s a sanctuary. Here, guests can settle into soothing guest rooms designed in a timeless Italian aesthetic using natural stone and wood, and look out from their private terrace to the vineyards in the mist. Every experience at Casa di Langa embraces the region’s cultural traditions and natural assets, be it a truffle hunt with an expert trifolao, a sommelier-led wine tasting, or simply the views of the Alps from the resort’s heated infinity pool. On-site restaurant Fàula serves Piedmontese cuisine made with ingredients from the kitchen garden and local producers. Guests are encouraged to embrace the restorative power of nature and delight in the genuine hospitality of Northern Italy.

Impact in Action

How sustainability leadership comes to life at Casa di Langa:

A Rare Truffle Experience

The Alba white truffle is a rare and highly prized fungus that grows wild in the forests of the Langhe region, home to Casa di Langa. Guests of the resort can take part in a forager’s dream, the Piedmontese tradition of truffle hunting, under the tutelage of an expert trifolao and with trained Lagotto dogs at their side.

Pollinator Program

In spring 2025, Casa di Langa introduced native beehives with the help of a local beekeeper, directly addressing the need to support biodiversity on the property. This is one part of a broader, property-wide approach to ecological stewardship that spans the truffle forest, orchard, kitchen garden, and woodland. Guests can sample the honey and stroll among the hives, learning about the importance of the pollinator ecosystem.

Renewable Energy

In pursuit of carbon neutrality for the entire hotel, guestrooms are cooled and heated by energy generated by solar panels and geothermal pipes. A pellet boiler that burns compressed wood scraps pipes in clean hot water to the hotel. Any energy needs not generated on-site are bought from renewable energy sources. All of Casa di Langa’s vehicles are fully electric, and charging is available for guests with an extra fee based on consumption.

Waste-Reduction and Water Resources

Casa di Langa has a policy of zero single-use plastics across its operations and the guest experience. Bottles for water and other liquids are provided in reusable, returnable glass bottles, with drinking fountains found throughout the property for guest needs. Casa di Langa is also irrigated entirely with captured rainwater. A food composter has also been installed on property and all vegetable and fruit scraps are 100% transformed into fertilizer for the property grounds.
