Impact in Action

How sustainability leadership comes to life at andBeyond Klein's Camp:

Protecting Wildlife

Located within a private concession on the northern edge of Serengeti National Park, wildlife conservation remains integral to andBeyond Klein’s Camp. As a founding member of the Lionscape Coalition, an initiative between the Lion Recovery Fund and the ecotourism industry to conserve wild lion populations, andBeyond has supported collaborative initiatives like the Serengeti De-snaring program, aimed at reducing the  thousands of snares that kill or maim lions and other wild animals each year.

Committing to the Community

Accessible quality primary healthcare is not only a life-changing priority for our partner communities, but holds alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goal of 'Good Health and Well-Being'. The Ololosokwan Clinic started as a two-roomed structure in 1999. Over the past 15 years, amdBeyond and Wild Impact have supported a number of community-led developments that have included 10 additional rooms, a basic solar power installation, and the construction of a maternity ward alongside a reproductive and child healthcare facility.

Living Off the Land

andBeyond, in partnership with Wild Impact, began working with the Mairowa Community in 2010. Key development projects at the Mairowa Primary School, such as additional classrooms, staff accommodation, ablutions and perimeter fencing, have focused on the creation of a safe and practical learning environment that meets the Tanzanian Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) requirements.  Over the past year, a rainwater harvesting system was installed to support improved water security in this region that is prone to droughts.
